The students pictured are the first recipients of The Doreen Butler Memorial Award. This Award was set up by Mrs Cathy McDermott in memory of her mother who was a keen Art enthusiast. Cathy wrote;

“The Mission of the Doreen Butler Memorial Fund is to celebrate art in all its forms and to support its appreciation and understanding:

It provides annual awards so that talented students can achieve their potential by funding the necessary resources including the materials or equipment so that they may advance their development”.

We would like to extend a big thank you on behalf of the Art department and look forward to celebrating Doreen’s memory with the presentation of this award.
