La Sainte Union students celebrate outstanding A Level and Vocational results
Students at La Sainte Union Sixth Form are celebrating an excellent set of A Level and vocational results this summer, securing places at some of the country's most prestigious universities and progressing to a wide range of exciting degree courses.
As part of the LaSWAP Sixth Form Consortium, La Sainte Union students have once again demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, resilience and ambition. Their successes reflect not only their hard work and dedication, but also the outstanding support provided by staff, families and the wider school community.
Among this year's highest achievers is Rosa, who achieved A*A*A in History, English Literature and Classics and will be taking up a place at the University of Cambridge to study Classics. Eric secured A*A*A in Physics, Mathematics and Geography and will progress to the University of Liverpool to study Town and Regional Planning.
Rosa says:
"I'm absolutely delighted with my results. Studying at La Sainte Union and LaSWAP has given me so many opportunities to develop my confidence and pursue subjects I love. I'm really excited to be taking the next step and studying Classics at Cambridge." Eric adds: "I'm very pleased. I could have applied to Cambridge but I chose Liverpool because of the course they offer. The support from my teachers has been incredible throughout sixth form and I'm looking forward to starting university and exploring a subject that combines so many of my interests."
Creative and linguistic excellence was also evident, with Annabelle achieving A*A*A in Art, Spanish and Biology before heading to Newcastle University to study Modern Languages. Maya gained AAA and will study German and Italian at the University of Birmingham.
Other notable university destinations include Loughborough University, Manchester, Warwick, Durham, Leeds, City St George's, and Liverpool, reflecting the breadth of opportunities secured by this year's cohort.
We are particularly proud of students progressing through our vocational pathways. Outstanding Health and Social Care and Business results have enabled students to access highly competitive courses, including Nursing at King's College London, University of Birmingham and University of Liverpool, as well as courses at UCL and the University of Southampton.
